Unlock Kotetsu (Shigen's daughter)

Highlight Shigen at the character selection screen, then press X(17). As soon as you hear her voice to confirm correct code entry, press A or Y to select her. This gives Shigen a special introduction -- you do not actually play as Kotetsu. In the Japanese version, highlight Shingen at the character selection screen, then quickly press X(5), B(10), X(2). As soon as you hear her voice, press A or Y.
